And… He won!! This legal victory changed the landscape of the beauty industry in Connecticut forever. As Charles will proudly state to this day, “The reason why men can go into salons now is because of me!”

The drive to see this change in his industry was more than just a business decision for Charles. At his core, he believes that a haircut is far more than a superficial change. As a stylist you become a part of your client’s inner life, you spend time with them throughout their many stages of life and all the monumental moments. After seeing some of his clients for over 50 years he can proudly say those relationships he first made with his clients back in 1969 have transformed into lifelong and truly treasured friendships. 

Charles' care extends far beyond his clients. His team members if not already, become family. At HAIR family is more than just genetics. Every single member of the HAIR team becomes a part of the HAIR family once they walk through those doors. Charles shows his love for his employees through the greatest gifts he has to offer, knowledge and education. After 50+ years in the industry and being a member of the prestigious Intercoiffure professional association for 40+ years, Charles provides nuggets of knowledge with every model class he teaches and the legacy of the training program.
